Counterterrorism Intelligence Analyst Intern
The mission of the Counterterrorism Group (CTG) is to protect individuals, organizations, personnel and places against acts of terrorism. CTG professionals develop customized services and solutions that help deter, detect, and defeat terrorism. CTG is looking for a select group of individuals to become Counterterrorism Intelligence Analysts Interns. Counterterrorism Intelligence Analysts Interns assess foreign and domestic terrorist groups as well as lone wolf terrorists to identify specific threats, warn of and preempt attacks, disrupt their networks, and eventually defeat terrorist organizations or individuals focused on committing an act of terrorism. Interns are expected to work remotely a minimum of 15 hours per week with weekly check-ins.
As a Counterterrorism Intelligence Analyst Intern you will analyze large amounts of information and conduct investigations to gain an understanding of the issues and evolving situations to produce a range of intelligence products. You will also work as a world-watch officer analyzing and collecting data on daily terrorist events around the world. Being able to develop knowledge about the intentions, motivations, capabilities, plans, recruitment techniques and leaders of terrorist organizations or individual terrorists is critical.
This internship is ideal for candidates who are looking to gain valuable counterterrorism and analysis experience to become competitive candidates for the U.S. Intelligence Community. Interns must be passionate and dedicated about the work of counterterrorism and believe that one day terrorism can be stopped and want to work towards finding the solution. This internship is only for those who are serious about this work.

Counterterrorism Technical Specialist Intern (Remote)

The Counterterrorism Group (CTG) Technical Development Team is looking for creative and innovative Interns to work on solutions that fight against terrorism and various global threats. Interns are expected to work remotely a minimum of 15 hours per week with weekly check-ins.
Data Scientist Intern: The Data Science Interns will work to build key insights and analytics from research and analysis from CTG Teams. The focus is to create scalable models that can be deployed around the world, to help those in the fight against terrorism and various global threats the actionable intelligence they need. We will be using deep learning techniques and data tools to learn and map out threats in order to prevent them. We are seeking highly motivated students with data science expertise to join our team. You will be involved in high profile projects; you will conduct data analysis and develop data science models to solve important international security problems. You will have the opportunity to engage collaboratively with the teams throughout The Counterterrorism Group (CTG) and present your findings to a broad audience.
Web Development: Web Development Interns will assist in updating and developing the CTG internal and external web sites, content management for our websites, assisting with development and design of Web Applications, assisting with online marketing - LinkedIn, Twitter, and other social media platforms. Assisting with online Database Applications. The Counterterrorism Group (CTG) seeks dynamic Interns to support key web development and business initiatives, and growth. We are also looking for the creative and passionate intern to step in and make an impact from day one. The Intern experience will be designed to provide opportunities to work directly with the full CTG team on various potential projects.
Graphic Design Intern: The Counterterrorism Group (CTG) seeks motivated, creative, self-starter with experience in open source Web Design, social media & email marketing experience and interest who has an eye for clean and artful web and print design, focused user experience, functionality and layout. Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design tools. As a design intern you will be involved with image research, various layout designing, and competitor research for projects. You will learn from top design experts and have the opportunity to be a part of the design process for client projects as well as the production of final art. You will work in every medium from digital to print to social media for a wide array of clients.
GIS Developer Interns: The Counterterrorism Group (CTG) seeks GIS Interns to perform GIS and global positioning system (GPS) tasks. Apply GIS principals to produce solutions that allow effective ways to visualize, understand and analyze information. Review, gather, compile and process GIS data to conduct spatial analysis. Design, create and maintain GIS datasets to produce cartographic products. Provides data collection assistance and support.
Business/Marketing Intern: The Counterterrorism Group (CTG) is looking for Business Development / Marketing Interns to help our team with our external products. This is an exciting opportunity to work with various members of the CTG team, from Leadership to Team Leaders to Analysts to Graphic Designers. The candidate will support our external products from a Business Development and Marketing perspective and will utilize and leverage a number of tools including but not limited to Google Apps, Slack, and SEO Tools. The ideal candidate is creative, a fast learner, can work independently, has great teamwork and communication skills, and has experience and/or interest in Business Development, SEO, and other marketing areas. In addition, the ideal candidate will be ready and willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
Data Entry Intern: The Counterterrorism Group (CTG) is looking for Data Entry Interns for the important work of entering a high volume of data related to the detection, deterrence, and defeat of terrorism and threats into databases and other tools to produce reports. They will organize and maintain received data and source documents. They will prepare and sort source documents and identify data to be entered. They will work with the preparer of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data, make necessary corrections to information entered, compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data to be entered.
As an intern with the The Counterterrorism Group (CTG) Technical Development Team you will have exposure to real projects and will play a crucial role in the decision-making of countering terrorism and various threats. The experience will include:

The internship is unpaid. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis from November 8 until 0300 EST on Friday, December 4. The internship training will start on Monday, February 1, 2021 and run through Monday, May 31 with the possibility to extend.
