Crisis Management

Protecting you and your organization

Crisis management is the identification of threats to an organization and its stakeholders, and the methods used by which threats are dealt with effectively. It is the process by which an organization deals with disruptive and unexpected events that threaten to harm the organization and its stakeholders. Crises include a wide range of potential threats including: terrorist attacks, workplace violence, cyber crimes, product tampering, bomb threats, power blackouts, and natural disasters. The key to effectively dealing with crisis is plan for it in advance. This is where CTG comes in.  If done correctly nothing should catch your organization off guard and by surprise. You are ready and have a plan to deal with it. We can help you plan for all threats and the unexpected so you prevent them and if necessary recover from them.

Crises can happen to any organization at any time. All organizations whether it be a business, school, place of worship, entertainment or sports venue, health care facility, government agency, media organization, or non-profit can be targeted by any of the following threats:

  • Terrorist Attack

  • Criminal Attack

  • Cyber Attack

  • Active Shooter

  • Workplace Violence

  • Natural Disaster

  • Catastrophic Events

  • Explosion, Fire, and Hazmat incidents

  • Political and Civil Disorder & Unrest

  • Epidemic / Pandemic

  • Kidnapping / Extortion

  • Weather emergencies

  • Power Interruption

  • Reputation Attack

  • Accidents

Knowing that any of these can happen to your organization and its people, it is critical to be prepared for any situation.  This is where crisis management and planning comes in.

With The Counterterrorism Group (CTG) Crisis Consulting Team, we work to determine all threats and crisis situations that our clients might face and then develop comprehensive solutions to mitigate the risk. If the threat or crisis does occur, our work will ensure minimal impact because we have prepared for the worst.  In our crisis management planning we look to develop plans that will identify and be able to implement the emergency and crisis management team, standard operating procedures and protocols, back up systems and facilities, initiate business recovery and the contingency of operations plan, notify and communicate with all constituents, and coordinate with identified vendors to quickly restore all operations.

When various crisis management plans are developed, we go over the scenarios with your organization and train everyone in order to be ready. Ensuring that everyone is involved in the planning and preparation of the crisis plan confirms that everyone is accountable and knows their role(s).

CTG can develop crisis and emergency management plans for clients in various industries and geographic areas. If you need help with these or any of our services please contact us. We are here to help you succeed in assessing and understanding the threats and risks and and working to ensure complete safety and security.
